Cheer up! You were wonderfully made by the Almighty Chemist, God

Cheer up! You were wonderfully made by the Almighty Chemist, God

It may be hard to believe but we are an amazingly made “chemical reactor” that God put together to take care of his created earth. We are more complex than any Nuclear Reactor. In perfect synchrony, trillions of chemical reactions take place in a process called metabolism every second to produce what we call life. Interestingly, metabolism is a sequence of instructions embedded in our DNA which is a chemical compound in itself. This amazing “mush” of a compound gives us personality and separation from anything or anyone else.

Look at your fingers right now. No duplicates anywhere. See Psalms 139.

Even things like sensitivity, which is the detection and responsiveness to things around us including emotions and faith are chemical reactions. One of the ways God allowed us to participate in this creative process is to replenish the chemicals by eating and reproducing our own kind. See Genesis. When we introduce these allowed “food” chemicals we get the body to make more and replace ( anabolism) then break up and excrete the unneeded chemicals (catabolism). We can terminate the process by suicide, genocide or murder and he gave us no such permission. See Exodus 20:13.

By His Grace we are not a closed system like say a radio. For that reason he also gave us the responsibility to take care of the body, which he calls his Temple of The Holy Spirit.  See 1 Corinthians 6:19.

Meditating on His Word, prayer, counsel and fellowship are other simple methods God gave us for human homeostasis. It replenishes, builds and maintains the unseen but important Spirit and Soul part of our lives.

The human blood and its body functions is a mirror reflection of the Blood of Jesus and the things it can do for us spiritually and physically. This is well discussed in my book “Praying With Impact”.

God has your situation covered. It does not matter what you are going through now be it emotional, physical or social issues. Take heart and time to pray. You don’t need complicated prayers, He knows your needs.

Impact Scriptures

Psalms 139:13-15 NLT
“You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb.”

Genesis 1:27-28 NLT
“So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.””

Exodus 20:13 KJV
“Thou shalt not kill.”

Philippians 4:13 NKJV
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

1 Corinthians 6:19 NLT
“Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself,”

Impact Prayer

Father, according to your Word in the scriptures, I am your wonderful handiwork. Right now it may not feel that way all around me. But I now take heart you created me able overcome anything. I stand on your promises in calling on the Name of your Son Jesus now. Strengthen me and let every chemical reaction in my body and mind conform to your DNA instructions. I am your Temple, Holy Spirit cleanse me with the incorruptible Blood of Jesus, through whom I can do all things.
In Jesus’ Holy Name

Amen!

Praying with Impact and certainty now

Praying with Impact and certainty now

In Jeremiah 29:11God gives us one of the greatest promises in the Bible.

The promise is given to us as a constant  we know as time. "A future and a hope to succeed ”.

Where FUTURE is your place in the space of time you occupy ”NOW" brought on by yesterday’s HOPE. This is your Divine empowerment to live. Today's empowerment is from yesterday's hope. This hour's empowerment is the last hour's hope. The future will come and we can't do anything to stop it because God created the space of  “time” for us to live in today and now. The empowerment, is the part and generosity of God that lets us participate in our own future. Understanding time this way helps us realize that we are empowered to change the course and direction of our lives at any time. We have to use time wisely because in it God encapsulated the plan and power to open up this promise.

First we need to see that God is the source of our daily plan and KNOWS the path for each one of us to take successfully. The key now is to find Him in every situation.

Well many of us have “found” Him as we live this promised  "future" everyday because today is yesterday’s future and we are here now because of yesterday's hope.  BUT something may still be missing! So what do we do in that case? The way we play our part in this great promise of HOPE, is what may cause us to miss or hit our Divine appointed mark in the plan. Ask God for wisdom and he is ready to give it. Do it at every corner and turn of your journey if need be.

As I read the Bible with these thoughts in mind, the Holy Spirit revealed something about the role of character that I would like to share.

Our individual HOPE is the product of our CHARACTER which is a product of our ENDURANCE. Endurance is in turn a product of a life of value performances ( = action and reaction to the circumstances that we face daily). We are Divinely empowered to determine the value of our performance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. This is the “capsule of time” we live in that we all have equally in the same proportions.

Do not let anyone determine your value in time or the value of your time for you. Mockers ( such as bullies and abusers) value others downwardly, real mentors value others upwardly. Mentors see and build value in others.  God values us as a people on top, the head and not the tail, conquerors and not losers  in every situation. However it’s our call as to who we decide to believe in or seek out for,  in our space or time.

All our "value performance" should result in a character that is able to lay claim to that great promise of Jeremiah 29:11. It is only possible under the umbrella and boundaries of empowerment set by The Lord. God has a plan for you so continually pray and ask Him daily for direction so you may stay within bounds of this promise.

Impact Scriptures

Jeremiah 29:11
“For I KNOW the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope”.

James 1:5 NLT says:
“If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.”
Impact Prayer

Romans 5:1-5
“Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has
been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.”

Impact Prayer

Father I come before you with awe and excitement about your promise of success. Lord I shall not miss out anymore on your Devine providence because of my lack of knowledge or unbelief. Give me the wisdom I lack and the knowledge I  need to help me walk in confidence. I now receive and confidently accept the promises of your word because I have been justified by faith and I am at peace with you. In the Name of Jesus my Lord, Amen.

Raising Children: 3 Scriptural principles that absolutely work.

Raising Children: 3 Scriptural principles that absolutely work.

I’d like share 3 principles that we have used in raising our own children into young adults.
BUT FIRST though, please understand that:

  1. No one gives birth to angels and neither did we.
  2. No one gives birth to “bad, evil or dumb” kids
  3. They are all different and God will lead you specifically for them
  4. Let them thrive in their passion not your missed dreams

Today’s guiding scriptures

Proverbs 22:6 NIV
Judges 13:12-13 AMP
Jeremiah 29:11-13 NLT

Principle 1

Different versions of the Bible say it differently but I like the way the NIV  puts it:

Proverbs 22:6 NIV
“Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.”

SHOW them the correct path, by your own activities, words and mannerisms. Don’t scream it to them or force them. They will follow. But when they start to grow, they may start to question or even rebel. But if you planted it well, they’ll not depart or go far from it.

Principle 2

Continually ask God how to deal or raise the child in every situation and also what the child’s calling is. The calling is the vocation, profession etc. Slowly but surely you’ll start to see their calling in life. Assist them and let them thrive. Don’t force them into majors at college that you want because they’re “marketable “

Judges 13:12-13 AMP

“And Manoah said, “Now when your words come true, what shall be the boy’s manner of life, and his vocation?” The Angel of the LORD said to Manoah, “The woman must pay attention to everything that I said to her.”

Principle 3

Jeremiah 29:11-13 NLT

Trust God, believe that He has a plan for them. In our home at the very entrance we have this scripture framed. We’ve had it there for 29 years at our door and have seen God’s faithfulness to His word in almost any version, its self explanatory

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.”

Impact Prayer

Dear God, maker of heaven and earth and all therein.  You know all your creation including my child(ren). According to Jeremiah 29:11 you have a plan that is a good plan, a plan of success that gives us hope for the future. As a parent /guardian / caretaker I ask you to help me (us) in raising this child (children)  as you did for Manoah and Zorah in raising a great son, Samson. I declare also that regardless of any setbacks, this child (children) will not depart from your ways according to Proverbs 22:6.  In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

What’s you take? Please share your story or ideas

God will answer your prayer but not as an entitlement

God will answer your prayer not as an entitlement, but you must put your faith and trust in Him.
“Effective prayer, unlike reading or studying the Word, is necessarily relationship dependent. One may read or study the Bible with motives other than those based on a relationship with God. On the other hand we need to have a relationship with God in order to communicate with Him and He with us in prayer. Jesus refers to this as worshipping in truth and spirit.

John 4:23-24 "But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth".

Its a continuous relationship meaning that we have to work at. One can study or read the Bible as a literature piece or a scholastic endeavor, but prayer calls for a response from God and He only responds to the prayers of those He has a relationship with. One without a relationship would soon give up because of God’s “lack” of participation. Praying with impact calls for us to abide in Him.
First accept in your heart that you accept a relation with God through His Son Jesus Christ.

Today's guiding scriptures

John 15:4-5.  "Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear…”
I John 5:15 NKJV “And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.”

IMPACT PRAYER:

Father I thank you for willing to have a relationship with me despite my past. Thank you for your promise to abide in me if only I abide in you. Help me in my situation because I trust that according to these scriptures you answer me because you hear me. Answer my petition Lord in this simple but effective prayer.
In Jesus' Name, Amen.

CHARACTER MATTERS because it establishes INTEGRITY

CHARACTER MATTERS because it establishes INTEGRITY

Today’s guiding scripture

Psalms 105:19 NLT
"Until the time came to fulfill his dreams, the LORD tested Joseph’s character."

Character happens in "small bits" at a time that become mega bits then giga bits which is the visible you! Just like a computer’ s power in giga bytes expresses its capability.

Words said in seconds, actions taken in minutes, moves made in days etcetera. Eventually all this establishes OUR INTEGRITY which is the TRUST placed in us as individuals by others. When we say we don't trust politicians we're saying "we don't trust their 'small bit' performances over time. God trusted Joseph's integrity. Even his harsh master the Pharaoh, TRUSTED HIS INTEGRITY all because he had seen his "small bit" actions (character) as worthy of promotion. Do you honor your word enough that God trusts you and and others believe you?

Today let’s watch OUR "small bit" ACTIONS, and WORDS they are the brick builders of your "giga bit" power or integrity. YES, CHARACTER MATTERS.

Today Tweeter tests us and our politicians in only 149 characters.

Can God defend your 'small bits' character tweets as He did Joseph's?

Companion scripture
Read Genesis 39:11-21 and have a great day of integrity.

Impact Prayer

Father I repent of any words and actions of my past such as lies and broken promises to you and those around me. My character is broken. May your Spirit rest my integrity as you did Joseph.

Repair and forgive my character flaws in the Name of Jesus, Amen.

God bless
